Pecan & Caramel Squares


What could be better than ultra-thin and crumbly shortbread crust, doused with homemade buttery caramel sauce packed with honey and brown sugar, topped with loads and loads of crunchy pecans, and just a hint of sea salt? It's the ultimate scrumptious bite with your coffee, and, if you want to be really fancy - try warming it up and serving it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum.

You can eat the squares as-is, or heat them in a 350-degree (Fahrenheit) oven for 2-3 minutes, until warm and gooey.

We suggest storing these squares in an airtight container. You can freeze the squares; if you choose to do so, we recommend that you individually wrap each one before storing them in the freezer. Whenever you’re ready to have them – just defrost them fully at room temprature, or pop them in a 350-degree (Fahrenheit) for a few minutes oven until warm through.

And, pro tip: You really DON’T want to keep these in the refrigerator and you DON’T want to heat them in the microwave. Trust us on this one.
